Summary
A vinyl record, the album 'Papa's Got A Brand New' bag by James Brown and The Famous Flames. The record has six songs on each side. There is a purple label in the centre of each side of the record which has ‘LONDON’ printed at the top with the records title, a list of songs for each side and details of who wrote them and the artists name printed at the bottom. ‘Recorded by KING, Cincinnati’ is printed to the left of centre on both labels with the records catalogue number (HA.8262) printed to the right of centre. The record plays in mono sound. James Joseph Brown (b. 1933 - d. 2006) was an American singer, songwriter and musician who was a major figure in 20th Century music. He was originally the lead singer in the rhythm and blues vocal group The Famous Flames between 1954 and 1960. This record was released on the London label, an imprint of Decca Records, in 1966 and is a compilation of songs recorded by Brown for King Records of Cincinnati,
