Summary
An original copy of the Marvel Comics comic book Alpha Flight Vol. 1 No. 106 published in March 1992. The comic book features the character Northstar in the story ‘The Walking Wounded’ written by Scott Lobdell. The front cover illustration is by Mark Pacella and Bob McLeod and the signatures of the artists are on the extreme left hand edge of the cover. The illustration shows the head of a male figure screaming or shouting. At the top of the front cover ‘Alpha Flight’ is printed in large red letters and in the top left corner there are head and shoulder illustrations of other Marvel Comics characters. Immediately below these are printed the US ($1.75), Canadian ($2.15) and UK (95p) prices of the comic, plus the issue number (106) and the month of publication (MAR). Immediately to the right of this is a logo showing that the comic is approved by the Comics Code Authority. In the bottom left corner is a logo denoting the 30th anniversary (1962 - 1992) of the character The Incredible Hulk. The rear of the comic book features an advert for the NES and Game Boy versions of Terminator 2 Judgement Day. Marvel Comics is the publisher of American comic books that feature a range of super hero characters including Captain Marvel, Spiderman, Thor, The X-Men and The Fantastic Four. Marvel Comics was started in 1939 by Martin Goodman.

Published by Marvel Comics in March 1992. Purchased by the National Trust Museum of Childhood from Piranha Comics on 12th August 2020 as part of the Collecting Cultures 'Exploring Childhoods' project.
