Summary
A paper wrapper for a Curly Wurly chocolate bar. The wrapper includes details of how to obtain a 'fantastic Flip 'n' Fly' toy and has an image of the actor Terry Scott on the front. Designed by David John Parfitt for the Bourneville company, the Curly Wurly is one of the most iconic British chocolate bars. It was launched in 1970 and is still produced today by Cadbury. Terry Scott was an English actor and comedian who appeared in seven of the 'Carry On' films and the sitcom 'Terry and June'.
Provenance
Purchased by the National Trust Museum of Childhood via ebay in Jan 2017 as part of the Collecting Cultures 'Exploring Childhoods' project.
