Summary
A brown, cardboard, rectangular box with a removable lid. On the lid is printed 'The H.M. Tidy Box' together with information of sizes and the makers name and address. Inside are nine unopened boxes of 'Geo.W.Hughes £1,000,000 Million Pen' nibs in fine and medium points. The boxes are white with red, black and grey labels. There are also five open boxes of the same makers nibs, including one with a yellow and blue label. One opened, yellow box has a pink label reading 'The H.M.Shoulder pen' nibs. These are made by Thomas Hope. One opened yellow box with a red, white and black label reads 'Pedigree Round hand pens' made by William Mitchell. In this box are twenty used calligraphy nibs, two reservoirs, ten used writing nibs and three metal ferrules that hold nibs in place. There are ten wooden pens with metal nib holders, three purple, four brown and three red. Total number of items is 710.
