Summary
This is a hand written letter written on both sides of a sheet of cream paper in ink from John Constable, on 31 October 1797. This is addressed to Richard Richardson Esq. of Capenhurst near Chester. It relates to his occupation selling perfumery and haberdashery. Also that he has received the bill safely. There is also a typescript with the following information. 'Constable Jno, and Mrs Emma' typed at the top left-hand side with '31st Oct 1797, Westminster, Chester Cap. Poverty' on the top right-hand side. This is a resume of the letter.
