Summary
A bisque-headed doll manufactured by Armand Marseille. Moulded and painted facial features, open mouth with teeth and brown glass open and shut eyes with real hair upper eyelashes. Light brown shoulder-length mohair hair decorated with maroon ribbons. Composition body with jointed wooden legs. Jointed arms, the lower arms are wood, the hands and possibly the upper arms are composition. Wearing a pink low-waisted cotton dress with a large pleated skirt, Peter Pan collar and long sleeves, which has cream ribbon edging the belt (attached by a small cream button) and collar, and decorating the lower edge of the skirt and sleeves and the collar. A white cotton petticoat with a frill of white lace and pink ribbon near the lower edge. A plain white petticoat. White cotton drawers edged with white lace. Cream-white knitted socks and cream-white leather shoes with brown soles, fastened with maroon ribbons. Also in the box is a coat made of green velvet and lined with white fabric. It has a flared skirt with pale green ribbon where it joins the top section, gathered long sleeves gathered into deep cuffs with light green stitching on them; and a large 'sailor'- type collar, which also has light green stitching. The coat is fastened with two hooks and loops of thread. Also in the box is a maroon velvet beret, lined with pink silk and decorated with a rosette of maroon velvet at the edge. These objects are not on display. Total number of items is sixty six
