Summary
A fine white cotton child's bonnet edged with broderie anglais. This elaborate bonnet has a small gathered plain crown with a stiffened and gathered back piece, comprising four narrow frills. Between the crown and the brim are two rows of broderie anglais frills, with a narrow cotton frill between each. The stiffened and lined brim has three forward facing cotton frills then two broderie anglais frills. The gathered single cotton neckpiece has two narrow pintucks with a layer of broderie anglais between them and finishing with another band of broderie anglais which also comes up each side. Two long plain white cotton ties are attached at the front.
