A walnut corner chair or desk chair, English, circa 1730. With double solid vase shaped splat and turned supports, the drop in seat with a waved rail, raised on cabriole legs and pad feet tied by a turned X stretcher.

Gifted to the National Trust by Field Marshal Sir Archibald and Lady Montgomery Massingberd in 1944.
