Summary
Sheraton style workbox in the form of a rectangular marquetry chest with hinged lid with fiddle-back maple ground and drawer below. Inlaid burrwood medallions, scrolling foliage sprays and twisted rope borders. Brass side handles. Contains mirror, various bobbins, thimble, ink and shot pots. Lined in pink paper. English manufacture circa 1780.
