Summary
Five square tiles mounted together in a single wooden frame, transfer printed in underglaze blue, illustrating the story of a lovers' quarrel and reconciliation. The two tiles at each end of the frame depict the same scene of harmonious flirting before and after the quarrel. The man and woman are wearing a representation of 18th century costume. Manufactured by W.T. Copeland and Sons circa 1880.
