The bottom third of the coat is made from black silk velvet. The coat is fully lined in black silk satin interlined with wool and fastens centre front with seven hook & eye fastenings, several missing. There is also an integral waist tie made from black silk satin, fastening with a single hook & eye centre front, intact.
