Summary

Woman’s dress. Long-sleeved dress of cream wool crepe with cream satin stitch stripe, inset with bands of chemical lace at cuffs, collar, hem and running down the sleeves and CF of bodice. Collar is edged with black rayon and it semi-detaches from dress via metal press-stud fastenings to allow access to opening at CB. CB fastens with four pearl buttons and a combination of metal press-studs and hooks and eyes. There is a plain weave cream cotton tape hand-stitched around the waist that is unsightly; the dress was presumably worn with a belt – now missing.
