Summary
A woman's parasol made from silk, wood and metal. The canopy is made from black silk satin with a decorative border of purple grosgrain ribbon in stripes (now faded to pale pink), a mixed purple and black silk fringe and fully lined in cream silk. It has a carved wooden ferrule, shaft and articulated handle, with part wood/ part metal ribs.
