Summary
One of two Chippendale style toilet fittings in separate cubicles. Ceramic bowls (Doulton 'Simplicitas') boxed in by panelling, mahogany seat and lid, carved splat in Chippendale style with central bee motif, (apis is Latin for bee) and swept scrolled arms, one much shorter than the other, presumably to accommodate some vanished fitting. Metal handle in openwork spiral design attached to rope pull to cistern.
