Summary
Saucer, porcelain, made in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi province, China, 1730-1740; decorated in iron-red (rouge-de-fer) black enmals, gold and silver, painted in the centre with peony trees, dianthus and Buddhist hand citron plants, within an octafoil with three stylised lotus and sprays, the rim with a diaper border interspersed with three lotus and spray motifs.
