Summary
Oil painting on canvas, The Archduke Leopold Wilhelm of Austria, Governor of the Spanish Netherlands (1614-1662), on horseback, Flemish School, circa 1650. Full-length, on a rearing white/grey horse, turned to left, gazing at the spectator, wearing black armour, thigh-length brown boots, a scarlet sash over his right shoulder, long hair, small moustache and beard, black tall-crowned hat with a scarlet plume hanging down. Distant, indistinct landscape, nondescript sky.

Bequeathed to the National Trust by Huttleston Rogers Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966) with the house and the rest of the contents.
