Summary
Gold casket on walnut base containing certificate of Admission of the Earl of Beaconsfield to the Freedom of the City of London. The casket in Moorish style. Britannia seated on top with shield enamelled with Union Jack design. The sides support shields set between blue lapis columns enamelled with the devices of the Royal Arms, Disraeli's arms and Arms of Denmark, Austria, Russia?, Germany, France. Plaque on base inscribed with the City's resolution dated 18th June 1878. On the base are silver gilt studs with lapis centres and four reclining lions.
