Summary
A brass-bound mahogany travelling writing slope, English, circa 1820. The lid with brass plate engraved in script 'B. Disraeli'. Hinged and opening to a blue baize lined writing surface, a pen tray and space for ink and pounce bottles at the top edge, further compartments beneath the writing surface, brass side carrying handles. This writing slope had been used by Disraeli since his schooldays.
