Summary
Ceremonial spade with an ebony handle, used by Queen Mary to plant a tree at Gawthorpe during the royal visit in 1913; it was used again by Lady Worsley to plant a tree in June 1987 to mark the re-opening of the Hall after refurbishment by the National Trust.
