Summary
Fire-dog. Designed by J.H. Pollen. Burnished steel. From top - sunburst face above coronet, 4 floral scrolls, twisted stem, on a pair of scrolled feet with spikes, with floral embellishments. Back iron bar rests on double scroll feet with flower above. Made on the estate.
Provenance
Part of the Lothian Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940).
