Summary
An amber, mould-pressed, covered glass jar. English, late 19th Century. With an octagonal body with a swelling base and a domed lid with stepped ridges. A polished pontil mark on the flat bottom. A paper label on the boottom is inscribed 'MA 1 72'.
Provenance
Part of the Lothian Collection. The Hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1940 by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940).
