Summary
An amethyst, mould-pressed, glass jar. English, late 19th Century. With an octagonal body with a swelling base. A polished pontil mark on the flat bottom. Broken into 4 pieces, base, body and two shards, noticed during re-packing May 2024 (M.Yates).
Provenance
Part of the Lothian Collection. The Hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1940 by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940).
