Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Sir William Henry Lyttelton, 7th Bt, 1st Baron Lyttelton (1724–1808) by Benjamin Wilson (Leeds 1721 – London 1788), circa 1750-60. A three-quarter-length portrait, with his left hand on his hip, in a landscape with sea and a castle behind him on the left. He is holding a piece of paper in his right hand inscribed: SOUTH CAROLINA. He held the office of Governor from 1755-60.
