Bibliographic description
xi, [1], 263, [5] p. ; 23 cm. Contains a loosely inserted typescript note in an envelope with a Paris postmark, addressed to the Marquess of Londonderry at Londonderry House, from a member of the Forbes family (letter is signed by hand, but this is illegible) in the time of Bernard Forbes, 8th Earl of Granard (1874-1948). The letter is addressed to "Dear Charlie" and is dated June 29th 1936. There is a reference in it to "the enclosed", but it is not clear if this refers to the book in which the letter is inserted. Provenance: Probably Charles Vane-Tempest-Stewart, 7th Marquess of Londonderry (1878-1949). Binding: Twentieth-century full brown cloth, gilt lettering on spine. Gilt-top.
