Motto in Scottish Gaelic over portrait ("Tha mo cridhe's an tir nam beann" [My heart is in the land of mountains]). Gilt armorial stamp displaying Vane-Tempest-Stewart marshalled with Chaplin under a marquess coronet with charges and motto (Metuenda corolla draconis). Binding: Twentieth-centurypolished full mottled calf, gilt armorial centre-piece, gilt tooling on spine. Blue and green leather spine labels, lettered in gilt. Marbled endpapers and gilt edges.
