viii,[680],176p. ; 8vo. Provenance: Nineteenth-century anonymous armorial bookplate (with mark of cadency) [probably to be associated with Simon Yorke III of Erddig (1811-1894). Also inscribed on upper flyleaf in pencil: "S.C." and in ink: "John Yorke April [...]". In addition, inscribed on lower flyleaf: "John Yorke his book April 13th 179[2?]" [i.e. John Yorke (1776-1792), son of Philip Yorke I of Erddig and Elizabeth Cust]. Binding: Eighteenth-century full sprinkled sheep, blind tooled board edges. Sewn on three cords. Edges densely sprinkled red. Leather scuffed, spine splitting.

Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
