Provenance: This book probably belonged to Charles Yorke (1722-1770), younger brother of the 2nd Earl of Hardwicke; Lord Chancellor, 1770. The manuscript shelfmark G.5.7 is similar to those that appear on his bookplate, though his bookplate is not present in this copy.. Binding: Eighteenth-century sprinkled calf binding; gilt roll on board edges; gold-tooled spine, with gilt title label.
