Binding: eighteenth-century Cambridge-style gold-panelled sprinkled and plain calf (rubbed); sewn on six raised bands; panel pattern formed with gilt and blind rolls; gilt roll pattern on board edges; gold-tooled spine, with floral stamps within fillet panels and floral rolls at head, foot and along raised bands; gilt title on brown sheepskin label on spine; gilt vol. number stamped directly onto spine. Red sprinkled edges.
