Top left, a sepia photograph of a seated, bearded gentleman. Bottom left a letter on single sheet of paper. Headed in embossed script; East Brent Highbridge Sept 15 79 Dear Mrs Gibbs Your kindness to me not long ago must serve for my apology in making my first letter to you- what is I suppose the character of many first letters to you – a petition for help towards recouping(?) expenses of the two meetings in London Mar 13 for ‘Prayer Book As It Is’ As Always George Anthony Denison Mrs Gibbs Top right a small sepia photograph of a seated and whiskered, bishop with surplice. Bottom right a letter on single page. 1880 handwritten at top right. Headed in Gothic script; Palace Ely Oct 6 My Dear Mrs Gibbs I am very much indebted to you for your very kind invitation. I shall have great pleasure in coming to you on the 26th and will arrange to arrive at the Bristol Station at 5.36. I must thank you also for so kindly promising your carriage to meet at the station.
