Summary
Mid 20th century oak open armchair, with a rectangular slatted back, open arms and leather drop in seat on square section legs joined by stretchers. Stamped on the underside, GRV1 /a crown motif / R. Tyzack / 1951. Additional stencil reads, 21B/542. It is believed that this armchair was designed by Edward Barnsley for the Coronation of King George VI in 1937.
