One of a pair of Louis XVI casolettes attributed to Pierre Gouthiere, the fluted vase-shaped bodies mounted with four cornucopiae of fruit, the pineapple-shaped nozzles alternating in form to drip-pans, supported by infant boys with double fishtails resting on scrolled foliate handles and centred by espangolette masks encircled by oak leves, on waisted suppports chased with acanthus foliage and shaped platform bases mounted with berried garlands on paw feet, on heavy square bases mounted with ribbons, acorns and oak leaves.
