Summary
A yew, elm and beech Windsor armchair, one of a pair, Mendlesham, Suffolk, early 19th century, with a rectangular back with a straight top rail above three wood balls, a horizontal rail above six turned spindles and pierced splat, a horizontal rail below with two wood balls above a curved bar, the curved armrests above a shaped and figured seat, with four turned splayed legs, joined by turned H-stretchers.
