Summary
[Saved] Oil painting on canvas, John Finch, Baron Finch of Fordwich MP (1584-1660), after Sir Anthony Van Dyck (Antwerp 1599 - London 1641), inscribed and dated: Ld Finch 1640. The original, in the Raby Castle collection is dated 1637. A three-quarter-length portrait of a man, turned to the right, gazing at the spectator, wearing his Lord Keeper gown, black with gold braid. His purse of office on the right.
