Summary
[Destroyed in the fire of 2015] One of a pair of Japanese Arita swimming mandarin ducks, painted in the Kakiemon palette, with red breasts and turquoise, green and yellow wing and tail feathers, each with hollow base mounted as brules-parfum with well-chiselled Louis XV ormolu bases with leaves and water creatures, the porcelain late 17th century, the mounts circa 1740.
