Summary
[Destroyed in the fire of 2015] One of a pair of Bow figures, perhaps intended as Winter and Spring from a set of the Seasons, or a gardener and his companion. Both seated on stumps, the man (1440241.2) flanked by holly berries and with a muff at his feet, and both holding floral wreaths, their clothes of typical puce, blue and brocaded colours, the scroll bases picked out in turquoise, pink and gold.

Bequeathed to the National Trust in 1968 by Mrs Hannah Gubbay
