Summary
Early 20th century stay binder. Cream woollen cloth with twill weave. made from one piece, folded at sides to shape of body. The stays are strengthened with cording at CF (three panels of five rows of corded quilting). A 470mm slot at left side is finished with button-hole stitch in crem thread. Slot takes waist tape, to cross-over and tie in front of garment. Stays are edged with cream cotton binding, machine stitched. For a baby of 6-12 months.
