Oil painting on canvas, Anne Yate, Mrs Thomas Talbot (1638-1706), attributed to Pieter Borsseler (fl. London 1664 - Middleburg 1687), circa 1664. Inscribed: ANN DAUGHTER OF SIR JOHN YATE BT. / AND WIFE TO THOS TALBOT OF LONGFORD / BORN 1638. DIED 30TH DECR 1706. A half-length painted oval portrait, to the right, in widow's dress of black with black veil, white lawn collar and cuffs. Anne, daughter of John Yate, 2nd Baronet, wife of Thomas Talbot in widow's weeds.

Purchased by National Trust in 2006 through private treaty sale Presumably commissioned by the sitter’s mother, Mary, Lady Yate, or by her brother, Sir Charles Yate, 3rd Bt.; thence by descent from the latter’s daughter Mary, Lady Throckmorton.
