Summary
An ebonised chair, English, early to mid-19th century, one of a pair. The top-rail pierced with quatrefoils above a back filled with tracery arches. The cane seat raised on two ball-turned and outswept front legs and rectangular-section rear legs, joined by slender stretchers. The front stretcher turned.
