Summary
Cap; Shako of an Officer in the Royal Marines made from black beaver. it is bell topped with a leather covered top and 2 leather bands down each side in an 'V' shape. there is a drooping peak 64 mm (2.5 in) deep at centre. There is a side ornament of gilt, a crown surmounted by a lion. there are a gilt chin scales (only first few on each side). there is a gilt insignia on the front of 8 pointed star with starburst, fouled anchor (silver) in centre, the word 'Gibraltar' above and 'Per Mare Per Terram' below, the whole surmounted by a crown.
