Summary
Portrait miniature, watercolour painted on enamel on brass, oval with pin for a brooch. An Unknown Man in a Grey and Blue Coat, artist Andrew Plimer (Wellington 1763 - Brighton 1837). 1790s. Oval. Head and shoulders portrait of a young man, turned to the left, gazing at the spectator, wearing a grey and blue coat (unfinished), white waistcoat, white neckcloth and cravat. Light brown eyes, thick powdered hair in queue, dark face, aged about 25. Dark frame with ornate hanging eye.
