Summary
Portrait miniature, watercolour painted on enamel, brass base. With pin for a brooch. An Unknown Man in a Grey and Blue Coat, by Andrew Plimer (Wellington 1763 - Brighton 1837). 1790s. Head and shoulders portrait of a young man, turned to the left, direct gaze. Wearing grey/blue coat, white waistcoat, white collar and cravat. Light brown eyes. Thick, curled and powdered hair. Central oval gilt setting within square dark wood frame, with ornate hanging loop.

Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
