Summary
Turret clock, four post frame, anchor escapement, iron wheels, hour striking, no provision for dial, two hands. Arranged to strike two and formerly three bells. Underneath Charles Paget Wade has painted in cream the motto 'UMBRAE TRANSITUS EST TEMPUS NOSTRA'. CPW Item 36 (Small Bed Room) - 'Turret Clock. Iron frame with 15th century buttress feet. Strike movement and original weights. Allegedly from Dennington Suffolk. Vertical dial painted on wall shows 17th cent Tarot Card designs with their symbolism and Astrological signs'.
