Summary
Oil painting on canvas, An Unknown Youth once called Grand Duke Cosimo I de’ Medici, Grand Duke of Tuscany (1519-1574), attributed to Girolamo Mazzola Bedoli (Viadana c.1505 - Parma c.1569), previously attributed to Parmigianino (Parma 1503 – Casalmaggiore 1540). A three-quarter-length portrait of a young man, turned to the left, his head and gaze to the right, his left hand on his hip, his right hand palm upwards, gesturing to the right, short light-brown curly hair, whispy beard, wearing a black jerkin over a brown doublet and white and gold embroidered collar; beside him on the left an open letter on a table.
