Marks and inscriptions
Reverse of frame: Handwritten inscriptions in chalk. 2 inscriptions are upside down on left hand side - 24 and C. Alexander is on the right hand side, again upside down (the top of the frame used to be the bottom?). The current top of the frame has another name written in white chalk on the right hand side, illegible and overlapped with the word OWN in capital letters, all written in chalk. Brown NT added label has handwritten info of sitter. On frame, left hand side are remnants of another label attached with 3 tacks.
