Summary
Verona red marble and bronze, a set of four urns, fluted with bulbous base and carved with acanthus, by Bartolomeo Barrini, 1847. Each urn mounted on four bronze tortoises which are modern replicas cast after the model by Baron Carlo Marochetti, RA (Turin 1805 – Passy, Paris 1867), the original tortoises cast in 1853 (see NT 1255562). On a Portland stone base.
