Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Landscape with Fishermen and Women and a City in the distance, Franco-Netherlandish School, circa 1770-1780. A landscape with men and women fishing in the foreground; to the right a peasant with a stick drives a cow, a sheep, a goat and an animal halfway between sheep and goat. To the left of the canvas is a rocky hill with a castle on the top; in the background is a ship on water, and distant hills; centre and right a town and a large building in a walled park. The top part of the painting is taken up with sky and a tall tree at the right hand edge of the canvas. Painting set into panel in the wall.
