Summary

The seal of the 2nd Marquis of Powis (c.1665-1745) possibly bloodstone, prism shaped seal in swivel mount, mount pierced with cypher. Three seals, 1. Combined arms of 2nd Marquess, 2. Herbert arms, 3. 2nd Marquess monogram

Provenance

Accepted by HM Treasury on 21st March, 1963 in lieu of tax and conveyed to National Trust ownership on 29th November 1963.
