Summary
Oil painting on canvas, King George III (1738–1820), studio of Allan Ramsay (Edinburgh 1713 – Dover 1784). A full-length portrait of King George III wearing robes and ermine cloak with right arm extended and his left arm holding cloak. Ramsay was appointed Painter-in-Ordinary to the King in 1767 and 'conducted a sort of picture factory'. A pair with NT 1175993 and a copy after the original in the Royal Collection.
