Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Katherine Manners, Duchess of Buckingham, later Marchioness of Antrim (d. 1649) by Sir Anthony Van Dyck (Antwerp 1599 - Blackfriars 1641), circa 1628/33. A full-length portrait showing her in her widowhood, wearing a dark dress with lace ruffs and collar, wearing a single pearl choker necklace, drop-pearl earrings, pearl necklace worn on shoulders, knotted and held in left hand. There is figured drapery behind her on the right, and a balcony behind her on the left with a balustrade with roses and a distant landscape.
