Summary
A mahogany chair, one of a set of twelve, comprised of ten side and two armchairs, English, 19th century, the shaped back with eight pierced splats radiating from a central turned boss, the seat with serpentine front and shaped and incised apron, on incised cabriole legs, the seat re-upholstered (1983) with dark red horsehair, with red trim and horsehair stuffed.

Bequeathed to the National Trust in 1982.
