Summary
Record cylinder. A cylinder with wooden rings, part of a collection. The collection comprises a cardboard box containing sixteen phonograph record cylinders in cardboard tubes (all but one with lids missing) - Over the Waves Waltz; The Whistling Coon; Trio from Faust; Darktown Dandies; Semiramide Overture; A Little Suit of Blue; Pinafore Airs; Little Grey Home in the West; Awakening of Spring; Quinteto Instrumentale; Pilgrim of Love; Our Miss Gibbs; He'd Have to Get Under and The Swan (Violin), two are unidentifiable and broken. Also eight empty phonograph cardboard tubes, numbers 143, 144, 421, 577, 888, 907, 10192 and 12299. There are also nine lids marked 'We All walked into the Shop' and nos. 45, 297, 662, 1005, 12118, 12237, 60.465 and 476. Also a cylinder with wooden rings.

Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
